Finch is an app that lets you create a "Birb" as your companion. Your birb
can be friends with other users and their birbs, can travel around the world,
can discover new things, can collect furniture for their birbhouse, can collect
clothes, and can collect micropets.
Most importantly, you can create "goals" for daily activities. Things that
are simple, like "Get out of bed" or "Brush your teeth" to more complicated
things like "Find one small area to clean" or "Get rid of one thing you no
longer need". These goals can be shared with other users, either mutually or
simply for accountability. You get rewards for completing each goal. Those
rewards can be used to buy clothing, furniture, or travel.
I've mostly been collecting the micropets. As of now, there are 61 different
micropets, and (with a few exceptions) three varieties of each. You can pick one
to tag along with you on your adventures, and after 15 adventures, they evolve
into an adult form. So there are really six of each type, over 350 unique
varieties. You can gift furniture, clothing, and micropets to other users, so
online communities have sprung up to enable trading.
I'd like two of each micropet variety so I can evolve one of each into an
adult form. Here is my list of micropets.
It shows the ones I have in abundance to trade, the varieties I don't have, and
the ones for which I'd like to have a second one. It's updated regularly.
If you're not familiar with Finch and you want to try it,
